They are pretty low-end guns, and the Savages were made a good bit better. I heard a rumor that they were making them in. ![]() They come threaded for chokes from the factory, have double triggers (albeit in the wrong order, but still double triggers lol), cost less than a decent-condition Savage 24C, and likely won't be regulated any more badly than the 24Cs I've had my paws on. If you are looking for a combo gun that is a shooter instead of a collector, I'd put the Savage in the safe and get you one of the Chiappa Double Badgers in. ![]() If you thread it or rechamber it, you'll reduce the gun's collector value a good bit, and you'll end up with a whole pile of money into it, way more than it's worth. The Savage 24s are starting to become collector pieces. My opinion isn't worth much, but here it is. The Savage Model 24 is an American made over-and-under combination gun manufactured by Savage Arms.
